Welcome to Arsenal FC's new monthly newsletter! The purpose of this newsletter is to keep you informed of the latest happenings, upcoming events, successes, fundraisers and information regarding your club. This newsletter will be sent out via email on a monthly basis and will also be made available online at www.arsenalfc.us.
 
There are less than two weeks left before Arsenal's first car give-a-way fundraiser. All sales will conclude this week. Please turn in any extra tickets you may have along with the money that has been collected to your manager as soon as possible. The drawing will take place December 13th at Mark Christopher Chevrolet.
 
 
Over 130 teams participated in this year's Gunner's Cup held at the John Blanche Memorial Soccer Complex. Arsenal FC would like to thank everyone for attending the tournament this past weekend and congratulate all the champions and finalists. The tournament hosted 22 brackets of competition with Arsenal teams being crowned Champions in 14 of the brackets and Finalists in 13 brackets. Arsenal FC's U16 and U18 Academy season is officially underway. The team's first games were held November 22nd at UCR against San Diego Surf. The U16's drew 0-0 while the U18's drew 2-2. The next matches for these teams will be at US Soccer's Winter Showcase held in Lancaster, CA, December 5th through 8th.
 
 
The Arsenal Winter Classic will take place January 10th and 11th at the John Blanche Memorial Soccer Complex. This tournament will be open for all teams U8 through U14 and will be a warm-up tournament for those teams competing for State Cup, National Cup and Cal Cup. Clubs committed to compete include West Coast FC, Del Mar Sharks and Albion SC. The tournament will also feature a team from Australia competing in the BU14 group. Cle Kooiman and his GU15 Arsenal Girls took home the Super Y League Championship in Tampa, Florida beating Diablo FC in overtime 2-1. Congrats to Cle and his team. For more information regarding the USL and Super Y League events, please visit http://supery.uslsoccer.com/index.html.
